Without it, users have to run their apps on different devices to test applications. Of all the features, Apple Xcode’s Simulator is really powerful. Compiling and debugging: The Apple Xcode solution uses the iOS SDK to compile and debug applications for iOS that run on ARM architecture processors.Organized: Apple Xcode includes project management tools that enable users to manage their image assets and code files in an organized fashion.Fast remediation: The solution comes with great debugging tools that allow developers to solve problems in their app faster.Users can also create their own templates. The templates, along with the solution’s stored snippets of code, make development much smoother. Ready-made templates: When users create a new project, they can select from the available templates that give them a basic framework to work with and expand on so that they don’t have to start from scratch.Known as universal binary files, these allow the application to run on both PowerPC and Intel-based platforms, including both 32-bit and 64-bit codes. Capability: Apple Xcode can build binary files that include the code for various architectures in the Mach-O executable format.Because it has a source code checker and an autocomplete feature, writing source code is much easier. Easy to write code: Apple Xcode is designed to give developers one single window to work from.Suitable for developers: Another benefit of the solution is that using Apple Xcode, a developer can learn profiling and heap analysis in a natural way.Apps can also be coded and tested simply by using the Apple Xcode app from an iPad. It may seem excessive but I really appreciate when items are carefully packed (especially liquids) and to me this is super important especially at the price. Everything is packaged in a way that even in transit nothing moves around and all pieces are held securely in place. The Ouai products also come in their own box. The dryer + attachments come in its own box. I didn’t take pictures of the boxes but the entire set comes beautifully boxed in three separate boxes. Current 2018 version Dyson Blown Ouai Set comes with the matte black dryer and slight variation of products. Note the one I’ve reviewed is limited-edition for 2017. Also it appears that this is an online exclusive at Sephora. Because of the mousse do note this must ship ground so it may take a little longer to get to you if you order it. The Sephora Blown-A-Ouai Set caught my eye because it comes with all the nozzles, diffuser, mat and hanger but also has a travel bag and four Ouai haircare products including the Repair Shampoo (2 fl oz), Repair Conditioner (2 fl oz), Soft Mousse (1.7 oz) and the Hair Oil (1.5 fl oz). There are a few value sets available at various retailers that come with a case or other accessories. The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer currently runs at $399 which includes the dryer, smoothing nozzle, styling concentrator, diffuser, non-slip mat and storage hanger. This dryer comes with an ultra-hefty price tag but it 100% exceeded my expectations and to me I think it lives up to the hype. The Sephora set pushed me over the edge and for those who have been contemplating it for the Beauty Insider Sale I hope this review helps you make your decision either way. This dryer has been out on the market for quite some time now and it has caught my eye on numerous occasions but I could not bring myself to splurge as I already own and love several other dryers. After reviewing the new Harry Josh Ultra Light Pro Dryer I was thrilled to see how many of you love haircare posts and especially surprised many expressed interest in a review of the Dyson Supersonic. It’s one of the most expensive beauty tools I’ve purchased and based on my testing I think it 100% lives up to the hype. Ahead, our favorite picks for shine, volume, and everything in between.I finally splurged on the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer because Sephora has a Dyson x Blown-A-Ouai Set this season. The best hair dryers can address all hair types and needs-from enhancing natural curls and eliminating frizz, to being environmentally conscious and travel-friendly. If you're still working on perfecting the at-home blowout, having the right tools is crucial for achieving that salon-level look. There are plenty of low-cost options that don't compromise on power, nifty blow dryer brushes, like Revlon's bestselling Hot Air Brush, and even options suited for curly textures. The point is, you'll want to have all the information before you settle down. Or perhaps you want to explore beyond your usual type and experiment with something brand new. Maybe your priority is finding something that works with you, not against you. Do you want slow and steady, or top-of-the-line? Is a highly powered motor your aphrodisiac? Is it all about heat, or would something cooler work for your lifestyle? And even when you know all their qualifications, there's still that extra burden of understanding your own needs enough to make the right choice. There are so many to choose from that it makes the whole process overwhelming. Finding the best blow dryer is like finding the right partner. If they do take damaged batteries, etc., then you are in luck as they should qualify for that $10 gift card. That will be the best way to handle that issue. If they don’t take those damaged, etc., batteries ask them who does and where to find them. We are not going to speak for AutoZone in this situation so it is always best to call first and ask. What this information means is that you have to check your batteries to make sure they are in good shape and then contact the store to see if they will take damaged, etc., batteries. In fact, even call2recycle says that you need to e-mail a special number to get someone out to your home for a special collection of those damaged batteries. However, if your old batteries are damaged, defective, or part of a recall, you may not be able to take them to AutoZone. We found no per day or at one-time limit imposed on batteries like there is for old oil and filters. This company seems to have a very liberal recycling program when it comes to batteries. It is worth considering getting rid of those battery eyesores. Getting rid of old batteries helps make your yard and home look better plus, you get a little cash to buy needed parts or accessories. That is good news for those who have a few batteries sitting around their yard or home. What that means is that you are getting paid for disposing of those old batteries even if you did not buy them at their store. On their battery recycling page, AutoZone does declare that they will give you the $10 gift card FOR EVERY battery you bring to them for recycling. Which side of the debate you sit on is up to you but there is some evidence that supports the buy-back point of view. There is another group that says that a $10 gift card constitutes a purchase and AutoZone is buying back old batteries. That means that they are not losing any money but making sure you spend it in their store. The $10 gift card is merely returning your core deposit to you. There is one side that says no they do not. This is a point of contention for some people. That means you can get rid of that old battery clutter that is taking up too much space in your garage or basement. If you have a stockpile of old batteries you can bring them in, per their rules, and dispose of them properly. You do not have to return the old battery in your car. AutoZone seems to go the extra mile for its customers besides having a top-quality recycling program.Īlso, there is a bit of good news on the battery recycling point. If you buy your battery from them, they say they will install it for free as well. If it is still good, you can continue to use it and not have to buy a new one.īut that is not the only free battery service they offer. If your battery is 4 years old or more, their battery recycling page we just linked to says to bring your car in and they will test your old battery for free. Each store may have different rules so it is always best to check first before arriving on their lot. Yes, they will and you should contact the store closest to you to find out all the details involved in recycling old batteries. That is, certain media outlets are in the middle-ground but don't confuse being in the middle-ground with being objective. We got to where we are today because the ludicrous and absurd is normalized along with the reasonable and factual. Perceived Bias is NOT an indicator of truth or falsehood in itself. As much as we take issue with media, we also need to educate ourselves on how to seek out the hard-hitting journalism you describe: I would like to spread some of my copy pasta on being an informed citizen, here, as I think it's relevant. So if you can keep increasing the prioeto infinity, then everything can be infinitely important, thus nothing is more important than any other. Where as the other way can keep going up. You can't really go lower (except zero index but let's not do that right now). Usually, I tend to rank priority or importance as a 1 being most important or highest priority, because it's inherently bounded. What if you already ranked the chores, then remembered a new one, how do the other rankings move with the new one? Do you tack it onto the end of the list? So is that at a 12? Or is that a 1 and everything else moves up? How would you label higher priority? Would you say that a number 1 is first to get done or most important? Or is a level 10 more important? What if there is an 11? Similar scenario: if you had chores to do before your parents came home, and you had to rank the chores in terms of priority. This comes up in a lot of areas, not just the military. Sometimes infographics can masquerade as how-to guides. If your guide is more of a visual essay than a structured table or list, then chances are that is an infographic. Flow charts and step-by-step guides are considered guides, so are visual references that line up different types of something next to one another other.Īn infographic is more educational in layout and content, finding something specific on an infographic is not as easy because it is designed to inform through more narrative structures. Guides are typically laid out in a grid configuration of some sort or sectioned into multiple tables by a category or step of a process. On top of that not all guides are created equal, many technically qualify as guides, but lack substance. If someone has to visually bop around your guide to find what they are looking for, the guide does not pass the layout test. The layout or structure of a guide must be that so, when someone is trying to find/reference information from the guide, they can do so logically or simply. It takes both content and layout to make something a guide. Guides are reference materials, how-tos, and/or comparison tables. Everything else is Asian import tables "assembled" in the US but with lots and lots of MDF parts in places you can't easily see them.Īlso as mentioned you need to factor in the moving cost of 500 to 700 bucks depending on the size of the table and the distance being moved. Those are Connally out of AZ, AE Schmidt out of MO, and the more expensive Olhausen tables. There are only three companies left in the US making locally made tables. Honestly you should target three brands for used tables and don't be in a hurry you can get a great deal if your willing to wait a month or two. I bought a used 9ft AE Schmidt off FB marketplace for $300 bucks. If both the rails and cloth are relatively new and in good condition though, feel free to keep it). Keep in mind you’re probably going to need to pug another ~1k in for moving, cloth, and new rail cushions (cushions need to be replaced every 15-30+ years since the natural rubber dries up/rots, and the moving process actually involves removing the cloth, which is probably the most time intensive process of taking apart and assembling table, so you may as well save yourself from paying twice for the same labor. $750 for something that looks that well taken care (which you’ll have to verify in person of course) of isn’t a spectacular deal, but it’s not a bad deal either. If I were to pick, I’d probably lean towards the golden west for sheer aesthetics, but I also wouldn’t mind waiting around for something I was more in love with otherwise. They’ve been out of business since the mid 90’s AFAIK, so this table will also be at least 30+ years old. I’ve also heard they can be kind of temperamental to set up and keep level. Their reputation however is a little more hit or miss with some people absolutely loving and being nostalgic for their commercial grade Gandy big “G” tables (of which this is not, this is a furniture grade table), and some people absolutely hating their play characteristics. Gandy is a more well known and widespread manufacturer. I don’t know how they play, but I hear they’re solidly constructed furniture grade tables. From a casual look it looks in fairly well taken care of for a 30-40+ year old table. Golden West was a local manufacturer originally out of Santa Ana CA, that then moved up to Oregon sometime in the mid 90’s. Both look in decent condition at a glance (though you’d probably want to inspect it in person to make sure there are no cracks anywhere in the wood legs and frame and look under the table to make sure that the slate pieces are intact. The first "extended" font families, which included a wide range of widths and weights in the same general style emerged in the early 1900s, starting with ATF's Cheltenham (1902–1913), with an initial design by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, and many additional faces designed by Morris Fuller Benton. In the metal type era, a font also meant a specific point size, but with digital scalable outline fonts this distinction is no longer valid, as a single font may be scaled to any size. Therefore, a given typeface, such as Times, may be rendered by different fonts, such as computer font files created by this or that vendor, a set of metal type characters etc. the software) that allows you to use a set of characters with a given appearance, whereas a typeface is the actual design of such characters. In the loose terminology of desktop publishing, these distinctions are often lost and the term "font" used for an entire typeface rather than any one specific font within it.Īnother way to look at the distinction between font and typeface is that a font is the vessel (e.g. Font families typically include several fonts, though some, such as Helvetica, may consist of dozens of fonts. For example, Times is a font family, whereas Times Roman, Times Italic and Times Bold are individual fonts making up the Times family. A font family is typically a group of related fonts which vary only in weight, orientation, width, etc., but not design. Historically, a font came from a type foundry as a set of " sorts", with number of copies of each character included.Īs the range of typeface designs increased and requirements of publishers broadened over the centuries, fonts of specific weight (blackness or lightness) and stylistic variants (most commonly regular or roman as distinct to italic, as well as condensed) have led to font families, collections of closely related typeface designs that can include hundreds of styles. For example, 8-point Caslon Italic was one font, and 10-point Caslon Italic was another. In professional typography, the term typeface is not interchangeable with the word font (originally "fount" in British English, and pronounced "font"), because the term font has historically been defined as a given alphabet and its associated characters in a single size. a face, b body or shank, c point size, 1 shoulder, 2 nick, 3 groove, 4 foot. There are typefaces tailored for special applications, such as cartography, astrology or mathematics.ĭiagram of a cast metal sort. The same glyph may be used for characters from different scripts, e.g. (A typographer is someone who uses typefaces to design a page layout.)Įvery typeface is a collection of glyphs, each of which represents an individual letter, number, punctuation mark, or other symbol. In desktop publishing, type designers are sometimes also called "font developers" or "font designers". Designers of typefaces are called type designers and are often employed by type foundries. The art and craft of designing typefaces is called type design. There are thousands of different typefaces in existence, with new ones being developed constantly. Each of these variations of the typeface is a font. Most typefaces include variations in size (e.g., 24 point), weight (e.g., light, bold), slope (e.g., italic), width (e.g., condensed), and so on.
